个人简介
Octavian Baltag (M'95) received the B.S. degree in electro-radio-physics from AI. I. Cuza University, lasi, in 1971 and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Central Institute of Physics, Bucharest, in 1982. From 1971 to 2000, he was a Researcher with the Institute of Technical Physics of lasi. From 1990 he has been the Research Manager of Terraflux Control Ltd, lasi. Also, from 2001 he has been a Professor with “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of lasi, Faculty of Medical Bioengineering. His research interest includes electromagnetic devices and their civil, military and biomedical education applications‥. He is the author of 11 books, and over 400 scientific papers published in scientific journals and proceedings and communications at national and international conferences and symposia, and 22 inventions. He is a Ph.D. supervisor in Physics with the Faculty of Physics, “AI. I. Cuza” University of lasi, and PhD Co-supervisor in Electrical Engineering, “Gh. Asachi” Technical University oflasi.
Mr. Baltag's awards and honors include the “Henry Coanda” Medal for invention activity, the “Traian Vuia” Romanian Academy Prize, the Romanian National Order of Merit - Knight Grade, and over 70 Gold, Silver and Bronze
Medal prizes from International Salons of Inventions and New Technologies. Mr. Baltag is the recipient of Professor Emeritus title from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of lasi. He is member of several professional associations, such as: IEEE, lET, The New York Academy of Science, the European Society for Engineering and Medicine, Romanian Society of Medical Bioengineering, Romanian Society of Electromagnetic Compatibility, Romanian Society for Non-ionogenic Electromagnetic Radiation Protection, European Alliances for Medical and Biological Engineering & Science, The Society of Physicians and Naturalists of lasi, International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering - IFMBE.
