个人简介
Norlaili is a senior lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering department of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), a premier private university in Malaysia. Norlaili joined UTP as a lecturer in 2006. Before that she started her career as a Trainee Lecturer in 2004 at the same institution.
She obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a thesis entitled "Development of Fibres Reinforced Intumescent Coating for Mild Steel Structures" from UTP in 2013.
She did her MSc. Tech. in Engineering Materials at University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia and graduated in 2006. Her first degree was the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical (with Materials electives) and was achieved in 2004 from UTP.
As principal investigator (PI) she hold various research grants from international, national and university levels such as Hitachi (International) Grant, Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), Petroleum Research Fund (PRF), Yayasan UTP Fundamental Research Grant (YUTP-FRG), URIF and Short Term Internal Research Fund (STIRF).
Recently, since 1st Jan 2017 she is entrusted to become Cluster Leader for Enabling Technology at Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETaL). She also served as Active Learning, Cooperative Learning and Problem-based Learning trainer. Other than that, she has served as Trainer for INSTEP (PETRONAS subsidiary) skill-group courses i.e. SKG15 for Ceramics for Advance Application course in collaboration with PRSB trainers for a short-course entitled, "Polymer, Ceramics and Composites for Advance Application".
