Bio
Nilanjan Mukherjee received the Ph.D. degree in electronics
engineering (with a major in power electronics) from the University of Aston, Birmingham, U.K., in 2014.
After the Ph.D. he was with Aston as a Research Associate. Thereafter, he was with the University of Birmingham,
Birmingham, U.K. as a Research Fellow in power electronics from late 2014 to early 2016. Since early 2016, he has been
with the Research and Development (R & D) Department, Siemens Drives Technology unit in Congleton, U.K. and
Munich, Germany as a Power Electronics Design Engineer. From 2009 to 2011, he also held position in the automotive
industry working in energy storage integration in electric vehicle drive train in India. His main research interests
include the role power electronics and control in interfacing energy storage and hybrid energy systems to the grid and
motor drive systems, and application wideband gap semiconductors in power converters.
