Bio
Mr. Nikolaos Kefalakis (M) holds a Diploma degree in Electronic Computing Systems from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and an M.Sc degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications from the AIT (Athens Information Technology). In the past years he has been working in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) where he was involved in multiple IoT related EU funded projects. Some of the projects involved are ASPIRE, OpenIoT, FIESTA-IoT, FAR-EDGE, PROPHESY and SecureIoT. Specifically, in the context of the multiple award-winning EU funded OpenIoT Open Source project he was the co-founder, manager, system architect and developer lead (https://github.com/OpenIotOrg/). Additionally, he was the co-founder, manager, system architect, developer lead and main contributor of the EU funded AspireRFID Open Source project (https://aspirerfid.github.io/). Mr. Kefalakis main area of technical expertise is IoT Technologies & Architectures, Auto-ID Technologies (RFID, Barcodes…), Multitier & Microservice architecture, Sensor Networks, Business Process Modelling, Enterprise Systems and cybersecurity for critical infrastructures. Furthermore, he has specialization in the planning of microcomputers, at the designing and growth of embedded systems and knowledge in the electronics and digital systems. Finally Mr. Kefalakis, is a Ph.D candidate at the Aalborg University of Denmark.
