Bio
Nicole Bienert (Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree (cum laude) in electrical engineering with a minor in physics from the Schreyers Honors College, The Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA, USA, in 2018, and the M.S.E.E. degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, under the supervision of Assistant Professor D. Schroeder, from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
As a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, she worked within the Radio Glaciology Group, Stanford, on developing novel radar sensing techniques for terrestrial and planetary ice. She was a Graduate Researcher with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, where she investigated beamforming techniques and analyzed the potential performance of a distributed orbital sounder. She researched resonance radar imaging in 2017, planned antenna testing of NISAR in 2016, and developed an inflatable antenna for CubeSats in 2016 at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She recently graduated from her Ph.D. program and joined Google, San Diego, CA, where she is currently researching new image-processing algorithms.
