Nicholas L Arp

My name is Nick Arp, an MD-PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), and I am a member of Jing Fan's Lab at the Morgridge Institute for Research. I am currently interested in internal medicine, critical care medicine, medical education, and cellular metabolism. I graduated from Wartburg College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and minors in Spanish and Leadership. At Wartburg College, I worked in the Carver Molecular Biology Laboratory with Shawn Ellerbroek, PhD on the guanine nucleotide exchange factor called XPLN. In the Summer of 2018, I worked in the lab of David M. Sabatini, MD, PhD, at the Whitehead Institute for Biochemical Research/MIT. I focused on characterizing an inner mitochondrial membrane transporter essential to cell growth and proliferation.
