My long-term goal is to improve patient outcomes from neonatal resuscitation by better understanding team composition and use of additional tools that improve adherence to the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). My early training was in cardiovascular physiology and this is still a great love of mine, though my research efforts are now toward clinical science of delivery room care. I use simulation primarily as a method to learn about resuscitation team member's behaviors and actions. I also direct the educational training of our NRP program at our institution. I am also exploring ways to teach the principles of neonatal resuscitation in the most effective way.
