Scientific interests: material biodegradation, ferrosphere, plastisphere, microbiologically influenced corrosion of metals, isolation of pure cultures of biodamage/corrosive bacteria, formation by them of biofilm, sensitivity of associative and pure cultures of corrosive bacteria to organic compounds, cytotoxicity of compounds under phytotests, inhibition of microbial corrosion by derivatives of non-conformational pesticides, eco-frendly approaches to corrosion prevention.
Possession of methods and techniques: the isolation of the pure bacterial cultures, the study of their cultural and morphological, physiological and biochemical properties, the determination of the intensity of biofilm formation in bacteria by binding of crystal violet, the methods for determining the sensitivity of bacteria to antimicrobial compounds (disc diffusion method, serial dilutions method in liquid media), the methods of phytotesting - the determination of the cytotoxicity of compounds by mitotic index and the duration of the phases of mitosis, the determination of the genotoxicity of compounds for Allium test.
