Bio
Nandika Anne D'Souza received the B.E. degree in polymer
engineering from the University of Pune (Maharashtra Institute of Technology), Pune, India, in 1988, the M.S. degree
in materials science program from Auburn University, Auburn, AL, USA, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical
engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2004.
She is a Regents Professor at the University of North Texas, Denton, TX, USA, with a joint appointment in the
Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. She is also
the Associate Dean of undergraduate studies. Her current research interests include engineering composites, foams and
coatings for reliability and multifunctional performance, dielectric mixtures, and semiconductor packaging and molding
compounds for highly filled systems.
Pro. D'Souza is the current University Advisor for the Society of Women Engineers, Society of Plastics, and
Society for the Advancement of Process and Manufacturing Engineering. She is an SPE Society Fellow and an SWE
Distinguished Engineering Educator.
