Bio
My expertise is in remote sensing of the environment. Many of my research projects are focused on dryland ecosystems and understanding how these ecosystems respond to changes in climate and disturbance. I also have a number of projects in high elevation forest and high latitude peatland ecosystems. Overall, my research focuses on soil and vegetation characterization with lidar and imaging spectroscopy (hyperspectral) for ecological structure and function, and modelling.
I also have extensive leadership experience both in formal and informal roles. I am an entrepreneurial leader with strong judgement and decision-making skills. I am passionate about helping others be creative and impactful along their journey. I am also adept at navigating challenging situations, while being pragmatic. I have extensive research/fund-raising and project management experience.
