Dr. Nafiseh Jirofti received her Ph.D. degree from Sistan and Bluchestan University in 2011, where she is currently a postdoc researcher at the Orthopedic Research Center at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS). Synthesis, developing, and improvement the hybrid biopolymers scaffolds (vascular, bone, and skin) for therapeutic and diagnostic (biomedical and tissue engineering applications) have been her passion and her primary research interest. She started the fabrication of hybrid nanostructures in an effort to characterize the polymer's properties and assess their use in biomedicine as an arterial vascular graft in 2013 in Prof. Mohebbi-Kalhori's research group at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, Zahedan, Iran. Also, she has advised and guided graduate students in the different areas of tissue engineering and she has managed and as well as laboratory setup design of the nanotechnology laboratory at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, Zahedan, Iran for 5 years. After her Ph.D., she joined the Biotechnology Research Center in the School of Pharmacy of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran. In the Biotechnology Research Center, she has focused on understanding the preparation of the drug-loaded polymer solution (with a new strategy) as a bioink for the fabrication of nanostructures by freeze-drying and bioprinting methods and my thoughts on how to apply them for bone and cartilage tissue engineering, and wound-healing processes. The excitement of exploring a new area led him to take skills like cell culture, extraction of bone marrow stem cells, synthesis, and nanofabrication of polymer scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. At Orthopedic Research Center she has focused on the sol-gel synthesis of antibacterial bioceramics, external fixator coating, and other orthopedic research fields. She is a member of Iran's National Foundation of Elites and is a reviewer in international journals in the field of drug delivery, vascular, bone, and skin tissue engineering. He has supervised more than ten proposals and published 16 journal articles and more than then international conference articles.
