Bio
NIEVES PEÑA. (Bilbao, 1973) is a researcher at Tecnalia since 2000. She has a BSc in Physics at Basque Country University and she has been certified as teamcoach by Tiimiakatemia, University of Applied Sciences (Finland). During the first 8 year in Tecnalia she worked on the development of semantic technologies and coordinated several R&D projects at European and regional level. Afterwards, she worked 5 years in promoting entrepreneurial innovation projects through different training programs and consultancy projects. Last 7 years, she has been involved in the Climate Change adaptation projects such as SECTEUR, RAMSES or ARCH projects among others to support the design of adaptation pathways and climate based services for different cities. She has also been involved in a CLIMATE-KIC pathfinder project to develop a blue-print framework to support physical climate risk and opportunity disclosure in organizations based on the recommendations of the TCFD. She has also been working on three Copernicus projects contracted by ECMWF to work on the resilience on the forestry and infrastructure sector and another one more focus on the dashboards for policy makers based on past reanalysis, long-term projections and seasonal forecasts from the CDS of Copernicus.
