Bio
Mutsuo Ishikawa was born in Yamanashi, Japan, in 1976. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Toin University of Yokohama, and his D.Eng. degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2000, 2003, and 2006, respectively. Since 2007, he has served as a special-appointment assistant professor for the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, University of Tokyo. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Innovative and Engineered Materials, Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology.
His current research interests include the design, modeling, development, and fabrication of ferroelectric thin and thick films, lead-free ceramics and piezoelectric device, and high-frequency and high-power ultrasound transducers.
