Currently, I'm working as a Laser Optical Engineer at the Extreme Light Laboratory, the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and responsible for the reliable daily operation of 3 state-of-the-art high-power (100-999 terawatt) solid-state laser systems. Responsibilities are included daily alignment, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Responsible for advanced laser diagnostic systems used to confirm acceptable quality required for user experiments.
I've worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the department of physics, University of Central Florida, FL, USA. We have investigated the surface electron dynamics by using the ultraviolet pulses generated through high harmonics in gases in conjunction with photoelectron emission spectroscopy.
I have done my Ph.D. in Technological Physics Engineering in the APPLAuSE Ph.D. program at Instituto Superior Tecnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. During my Ph.D. arena, I was used to working with ultrafast femtosecond lasers to explore the non-linear effects of thin solids in high fields. We have demonstrated the control of microscopic and macroscopic aspects of high harmonic generation in solids by using 800 nm, 2100 nm, and 3000 nm laser driving wavelengths. The far-field imaging of the non-isolated nanostructure and nano-circuits on the surface of semiconductors by the self-emission of harmonics have been carried by using a lensless imaging technique called Ptychography. The spatial beam shaping of harmonics is controlled by etched spiral zone plates (SZP) on the surface of ZnO and nanocircuits on Si crystals by the focused ion beam (FIB) technique. The harmonics diffracted from the SZP's generate the orbital angular momentum (OAM) beams with many applications ranging from microscopy to quantum information.
