Bio
After graduating from Pakistan in Jan 2003, I got some industrial experience before persuading for my higher studies. I joined computer aided materials processing lab (CAMP) lab in KAIST for MS in Mechanical Engineering program in 2004. Completed my Masters in 2006 while working on simulations and experimental investigations of hot bar rolling process. Worked as Research Associate for a year and then joined Surface Engineering Laboratory of UCD Ireland for a PhD program. I graduated from there in 2011 on successfully completing my work on deposition and evaluation of nickel oxide (NiO) for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) application. I have published several peer reviewed journals and co-author of two patents. Currently working in Taibah university where I am teaching manufacturing related courses to undergraduate students of Industrial Engineering. My research interests revolves around the development of functional coatings for applications ranging from renewable energy, bio-materials and advanced manufacturing processes. I am also very much interested in lean operations and entrepreneurship.
