Dr. Mohammad Aslam is an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (India). Dr Aslam obtained his first Master’s degree in “Industrial Chemistry” from a premier central university of India (Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh), followed by another Master’s Degree in “Fuels and Combustion” from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi), Jharkhand (India). Later on, Dr Aslam has awarded Doctorate (PhD) from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar (India) for his dissertation entitled, “Hydroprocessing of Seed Oils into Transportation Fuels”. Dr Aslam also worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow/Research Associate in Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bioenergy (An Autonomous Institution of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India). Dr Aslam published 9 articles in International Journals of high repute and 10 articles presented in International/National conferences. In addition, Dr Aslam edited 2 books and 4 book chapters published by Springer Nature and RSC. Dr Aslam has more than 15 years of academic and research experience. His current research is focusing on green transportation fuels derived from second/third generation biomass feed-stocks and their application for decarbonising transportation sectors.
