Mosabber Uddin Ahmed (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Applied Physics and Electronics, University of Dhaka (DU), in 1998 and 1999, respectively, and the second M.Sc. degree in communications and signal processing and the Ph.D. degree in signal processing from Imperial College London (ICL), U.K., in 2006 and 2012, respectively. From 2015 to 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, ICL. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UD. He has coauthored in total more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. His research interests include signal/image processing, brain signal modeling, wind modeling, time-frequency analysis, multivariate time series analysis, complexity analysis, multiscale entropy analysis, embedded system design, information security, and network security. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He has won several fellowships and research grants, including the Commonwealth Academic Fellowship, the Commonwealth Scholarship, and the Charles Wallace Bangladesh Trust (CWBT) Grant. He was also a Track/Area Co-Chair of the 2nd and 3rd International Conference on Informatics, Electronics and Vision (ICIEV) and the Program Chair of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence & Applications (IWAIA). He has also served in various capacities, such as a reviewer and an editorial board member for different reputed national and international journals.
