Bio
Morten Kramer is working part time as part time as Associate Professor at Aalborg University, and part time as Senior R&D Engineer in the private company Floating Power Plant A/S. Morten got a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Aalborg University in 2006. Morten has many years of experience in hydrodynamics within coastal engineering, but the last 15 years his work has focussed on wave energy and in particular development and design of the wave energy converters Wavestar and Floating Power Plant. His expertise is on design of off/near-shore structures interacting with waves, physical modelling and scaling of measurements from laboratory tests to full scale, techniques for measuring and analysis of acquired data, and numerical and analytical methods to estimate interactions between waves and structures.
