Prof. Dr. M.R.M. (Monique) Jongbloed is a cardiologist specialized in congenital heart defects with special focus on clinical morphology and development.
She has a strong interest in translational research with emphasis on sequelae of structural and congenital heart disease, in particular with regard to myocardial structure, arrhythmias and the role of cardiac autonomic innervation therein. She is closely involved in academic student education, national and international education in the field of cardiac morphology and the development of congenital heart defects.
