个人简介
Dr. Latifatu Mohammed (Research Scientist, Division of Sustainable Energy Technologies). An expert in energy storage materials and devices. She has great experience and interest in Electrochemistry, battery (electrodes, separators, binder, and electrolyte), Supercapacitors (carbon and porous materials, metal oxides, organic additives), organic synthesis, Polymer materials, and waste management. Recently our group won a UNDP call for proposal dubbed “Waste Recovery Innovation Challenge” the project seeks to transform municipal solid waste into a sustainable resource for pavement construction (Co-principal Investigator). Currently she is leading a research that involves the development of local materials for energy storage devices (batteries and supercapacitors). Dr. Mohammed has broad experience in teaching, research development, and implementation. She has contributed extensively to research development in materials for energy storage in the industry. She has good inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional collaborative research skills that have led to the authoring and co-authoring of many publications. Dr. Latifatu Mohammed holds a BSc. Chemistry degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, in 2010. She received her Master of Engineering in Applied Chemistry and Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Hanbat National University (HNU), Daejeon, Republic of Korea, in 2014 and 2017 respectively. She worked as a research assistant and research fellow in the Applied Electrochemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, HNU, from 2011-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively.
