Career Trajectory
Bio
Mohammad received his MSc degree in Bioanalytical Chemistry at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS, Iran). His research thesis was about the development of multivariate data analysis and bioinformatics tools (particularly pattern recognition, chemometrics, and machine learning), and biomolecular spectroscopic methods for the early diagnosis of diseases and biomedical analyses. In 2018, he awarded a fully-funded scholarship to pursue his education through a postgraduate research Ph.D. program at Monash University. Then, he has started a Ph.D. in Immunoproteomics Laboratory led by Prof. Anthony W. Purcell at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI).
Currently, Mohammad researches on developing mass spectrometry-based proteomics and immunopeptidomics platforms for quantitative analysis of stability profiles and post-translational modifications (PTMs) of peptides bound to MHC/HLA molecules powered by bioinformatics, immunoinformatics, and machine learning toward infection and cancer immunotherapy in human proteome/immunopeptidome projects.
