个人简介
Mohammad Meraj (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 2012, and the master’s degree in machine drives and power electronics from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2014. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with Qatar University, Doha, Qatar.
He worked (Summer Internship) as a Research and Development Design Engineer at Philips Electronics Ltd., Tambaram, India, from May 2013 to July 2013. After graduation, he worked as the Research Associate at Qatar University from November 2014 to October 2019 under the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) funded NPRP-EP and QU-funded internal grants of several projects. He has coauthored three U.S. patents and has published more than 60 research papers (journals/transactions and international conferences) in the field of power electronics and electrical drives. He is also working on advanced electrical machines and drives for all-electric transportation. His research interest includes advanced power electronic converters such as dc–dc, dc–ac, ac–ac, and ac–dc, applied in the field of maximum solar power extraction, wind power generation, electric vehicle charging and drive train, and home appliances.
Mr. Meraj received the Best Research Paper Award at IEEE SIGMA 2018 and IEEE ICIoT 2020, the Best Graduation Project Energy Efficiency Award from Kahramaa (organized by Tarsheed) and presented by Prime Minister of Qatar, the Silver medal at the IIFEM 2020, Kuwait, for the LED driver patent, and the “Merit Cum Means” Scholarship and the Graduate Assistantship Award from the Government of India during the bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He is also serving as a Reviewer for different conferences and IEEE Transactions, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Access, IET Power Electronics, and IET Renewable Power Generation. He is also a Senior Acquisitions Editor for STEM at Qatar University Press, Qatar.
