Research Experience:
1. Seventeen years’ experience working in a biological research laboratory.
2. Sharing in research projects on plant diseases, epidemiology, estimation of disease losses, and disease forecasting in Egypt.
3. Continuation of the survey of fungal diseases that attack some Egyptian crops in the valley and newly reclaimed lands and carrying-out the proper methods of disease management.
4. Experience in the field of molecular cloning, genetic analyses, plant biology, pathology, bioinformatics, microbial biotechnology, and microbiology etc…
5. Diagnosis of new diseases and identification of plant pathogenic microorganisms and their antagonistic ones using the traditional and molecular tools.
6. Technical knowledge related to molecular biology research and associated equipment.
7. Expert knowledge on functional genomics.
8. Familiarity with bioinformatics approaches in genome analysis.
9. Strong knowledge in the application of statistical analytical methods in genetic data analysis and experimental design, and have ability to function in a multidisciplinary team.
10. Monitoring of pathogen evolution and population genetic structure research.
11. Resistance assessment and screen for diseases and pests of crops.
12. Synthetically management technologies for plant diseases.
13. Using all the possible methods and techniques to control plant diseases, especially the safe chemicals, bio-pesticides, PGPR, and developing disease-resistant plants.
14. Cooperation with Plant Quarantine Administration in testing imported cereal crops and consequently protecting the Egyptian crops from any exotic new diseases.
15. Transfer new technology to the farmer through extension programs and on-farm trials.
16. Continuation of training courses and workshops on disease diagnosis and management.
17. Participate in training students of plant diseases in the various faculties of agriculture and Science during summer training courses.
18. Training agricultural engineers and extension agents to recognize plant diseases and ways to control them.
19. Participate in research and extension programs at institute and agricultural experiment stations.
20. Participation in extension seminars, field days and harvesting.
21. Preparing the scientific material within the framework of the specialization for publication in agricultural extension publications or radio and television agricultural programs.
22. Preparing training topics in the field of specialization and participating in their implementation at the field level.
23. Participate in the preparation and implementation of plans, programs and research projects.
24. Contribute to establishing, updating and developing research stations and laboratories.
25. Participation in public seminars and lectures.
26. Experience with innovating solutions for non-model or specialty crops desirable.
27. Great experience in writing proposals and scientific manuscripts
