promise for sustainable development which has been held by the cooperation of
National Research Center and COMSATS, Egypt as an instructor (December,

6- Organize the annually practical course "Molecular Characterization and
production of alkaloids and essential oils from aromatic and medicinal plants
using biotechnology.
7- Sharing in the symposium entitled “Towards a sustainable agriculture
environment (2) which has been held in National Research Center, Cairo, Egypt
(May 24Th 2010).
8- Sharing in the symposium entitled” Future challenges for genetically modified
organisms and its products in law and society” which was held by Egyptian
society for genetic engineering and biotechnology, National Research Center,
Cairo, Egypt (May 16Th 2010).
9- Sharing in the workshop entitled “Industrial biotechnology: Current status and
future skylines” which was held by Arabian Association for scientific research
councils at National Research Center, Cairo, Egypt (July 14- 15Th 2010).
A member of the research team for the following projects :-
1- In vitro propagation and Molecular Characterization of Egyptian Date
Palm (2000 – 2009).
2- Application of plant biotechnology techniques for the production of the
pharmaceutical products; cardiac glycosides, curcumin, cynarin and hypericin
from some medicinal and aromatic plants (2005 -2008).
3-Application of plant biotechnology for production of the hepata-protective
pharmaceutical product (Silymarin ) from Silybum marianus.
4-Molecular charactrization and isolation of pest resistance genes in Egyptian Barley (2004-2007).
5 - Development of fungal resistant and drought tolerant faba bean lines through
genetic transformation (2005-2007).
6-Genetic transformation of some pathogenesis related genes for fungal resistance
into grain legumes (faba bean and pea) (2007-2009).
