Bio
My academic training and research programs provided me with an excellent background in both bioinformatics and biological sciences. I am more interested in using high-throughput sequencing technologies to study the genomic and epigenetic profile of specific tumor or human diseases. My current research focuses on how dynamic RNA conformations affect their biological functions, including: 1) Identify genetic variations that will affect RNA structure; 2) Function and mechanism of different RNA-protein complexes for different conformation; 3) Investigate the roles of RNA structures and interactions in human diseases. My long-term research goal is that combining computational, chemical, and biological approaches to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms of “RNA machines”. I am confident these proposed research projects and studies will lead to new understanding and therapies targeting human diseases.
