Our research directions:
Monitor changes in 3-D microarchitecture over times in mouse and rat in vivo.
Quantify 3-D microarchitecture of bone tissues and biomaterials.
Quantify bone damage and regeneration in e.g. osteoporosis & osteoarthritis etc.
2. Semi-nano-CT sample scanner
Semi-nano-CT50 combines submicron pixel size (nanoCT) with a large field-of-view, making this system extremely versatile (SCANCO Medical AG, Switzerland). The optional sample changer accommodates up to 12 sample holders, and a filter changer offering 4 different materials can be fitted. Variable filter and X-ray power settings greatly increase the range of materials that can be scanned.
