Min Kyu Sim

Min Kyu Sim (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in industrial engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2007, the M.S. degree in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2014. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Portfolio Manager and a Quantitative Researcher with Samsung Asset Investment, KB Asset Investment, and Qara Soft, Seoul. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Research Professor with the Smart Energy Group, Kyung Hee University. Since September 2019, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Data Science and the Department of Industrial Engineering, Seoul National University of Science and Technology. His research interests include renewable energy modeling, stochastic processes application, reinforcement learning, and sports analytics. Prof. Sim has been a member of the Korean Society for e-Business Studies, since 2019.
