个人简介
A molecular physiologist aiming to elucidate how environmental cues, like light and food, reset the daily rhythms of metabolism and physiology, and translate this knowledge into better care and treatment for cardiometabolic diseases, including heart failure, diabetes, and visceral obesity. The research program applies molecular biology, metabolic/circadian phenotyping, and systems biology to pursue the aim, and collaborates with clinical research units.
Min-Dian Li grew up in Chengdu in the Southwest of China. His hometown is the home of Giant Pandas and enjoys a nation-wide fame for spicy cuisines, tourism, and living. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Peking University College of Life Sciences, and received his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from Yale University under the mentorship of Dr. Xiaoyong Yang. He had been a Glenn/AFAR postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Gokhan Hotamisligil in Harvard University.
