个人简介
Associate Professor Mimmie Claudine Watts, Director, Industry Cooperation, Institute of Health and Wellbeing, Federation University Australia. She has some twenty years experience in the health and higher education sectors, seventeen years primarily in the higher education sector.
Assoc/Prof Watts is a council member of the African Science Research Innovation Council (ASRIC), African Union Commission, for the African Continent. Assoc/Prof Watts has a track record in leadership and governance, and extensive board experience as a non-Executive director.
As Commissioner, she was Chair of the Hume Regional Advisory Council that has some 12 municipal council and 162 Thousand residents. She attended, ave addresses and participated in over 250 events, in her four years as Commissioner.
Assoc/Prof Watts has a PhD in Public Health from La Trobe University, Australia, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
She had trained as RN, prior to that she was studying natural/pure sciences.
She completed the Emerging Executive Women in Health Leadership Program at Harvard University, USA, among other qualifications. Assoc/Prof Watts is the author of the Book, ‘Sahara Piercing the Thatch Ceiling’ plus other refereed journal articles.
