Bio
Miltiadis Alamaniotis (Member, IEEE) received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Thessaly, and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear engineering emphasizing on applied artificial intelligence from Purdue University, in 2012.
He has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), since August 2018. Prior to joining UTSA, he worked as a Research Assistant Professor at Purdue University. His interdisciplinary research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence approaches applied to energy and electrical power systems, smart cities, nuclear energy systems, and nuclear security. His main research interests focus on applied artificial intelligence in various engineering applications, such as smart grids, smart cities, nuclear power, and nuclear security.
