Milana Rajić, is born on January 24, 1991 in Novi Sad, where she finished elementary school and gymnasium. Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Psychology, Novi Sad, entered in 2010 as a full-time student. She completed her bachelor (three-year) psychology studies in 2013, with an average grade of 9.07 and enrolled in a master's studies in the same year. During the master's studies, the narrow field of interest and the main orientation was development psychology. She completed her master's degree in June 2015, with an average grade of 9.5. Her master's thesis was in the field of developmental psychology, specificaly on the topic of the effects of parent stress on socioemotional commitment: the differences between mothers and fathers of children with developmental disabilities. From November 2015., Milana enrolled in a doctoral studies , mentoring by Prof. dr. Ivana Mihić.
During the bachelor and master's studies, in the period from 2011 to 2015, she got a scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia. In addition, she received the scholarship from the Foundation "Professor Borislav Lorenz" for a one-month stay at the University of Rijeka. During April of 2016, she attended the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Rijeka. During her stay at the University of Rijeka, Milana participated in the preparation and implementation of joint research within the project "Impacts of existential insecurity on an individual and family in Serbia", which aimed at researching the capacities of employees in pre-school institutions for work with children from different at-risk families. The data obtained during this research were published and presented at the international conference Alps Adria (University of Rijeka, October 2016) and 23rd Days of Ramir and Zoran Bujas (University of Zagreb, April 2017).
Since 2015 she has been actively engaged as a student associate on the project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development "Effects of existential insecurity on an individual and family in Serbia", on the subteam of socially marginalized groups: families of children from the social protection system and children with chronic diseases and developmental disturbances. Within the project, she participated in the realization of the research in the field of care quality and factors contributing care quality in the families of children with developmental disabilities and the competencies of the employees in the pre-school system of education and upbringing for working with children from the families at-risk. Based on the data collected from the research, a support program for parents with disabilities in the development of "Our story" was piloted, followed by training for program implementation and accompanying manual. Milan Rajić is one of the educators, ie the author of the manual.
After completing the master's studies, from September 2015 to March 2018, she worked as a psychologist at the Preschool institution "Radosno detinjstvo".
During her studies, Milana was a student associate on the project "Kindergarten as a Safe Base" and participated in the preparation and realization of research, piloting and realization of seminars, education, writing and publishing works and manuals. During her previous work experience, Milana has been implementing two accredited programs of continuous professional development of teachers, educators and professional associates for the school year 2016/2017. and 2017/2018, and two for the upcoming 2018./2019. and 2019/20 (697- Kindergarten as a safe base: knowledge of children and knowledge of development; 698- Kindergarten as a safe base: techniques for strengthening the quality of child care).
As an associate, Milana was also involved in the project in cooperation with CIP and UNICEF - "Kindergartens Without Borders 2", where she participated in the preparation and monitoring of the team that piloted and implemented the program of home visits to families. She is engaged in the UNICEF project - Research: Depth analysis of the current practice of providing child support services, as an assistant in the processing of data collected at two locations.
The main focus of scientific research is focused on topics in the field of developmental psychology, more specifically early development, family psychology and preschool psychology. In the framework of scientific research, it mostly focused on the research of factors of quality of care for children with disabilities.
