Bio
Milan Radosavljevic is Professor in Civil Engineering and has very recently joined the University of the West of Scotland to lead the newly established Construction Innovation and Built Environment Resilience research group (CIBER), represent the university as one of the key members in the recently launched £7.5m Construction Scotland Innovation Centre and is working with the Building Research Establishment (BRE) as part of its project to develop a new centre for resilience for the built environment.
Professor Radosavljevic contributes his expertise in project management, civil engineering and digital technologies at institutions around the world, including the Norwegian School of Management, Tallinn University of Technology, University of Ljubljana, Shandong University, Brno University of Technology, and has developed and run executive courses for major utilities corporations in the UK and abroad, including AES Corporation and UPONOR Corporation.
He served as a committee member of the Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM), sat on the Board of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), UK Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA) and Constructing Excellence in the Built Environment (CEBE). He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia from 2009 to 2012 and is currently an Invited Supervisor and Guest Professor at the University of Cambridge and City University London.
Professor Radosavljevic was a lead investigator in the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)-funded Programme Management review for the London Olympics 2012 on behalf of the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), he worked with Sainsbury’s PLC and Faithful+Gould, as part of a £5.9m EPSRC Technologies for Sustainable Built Environments Centre in Reading on embodied energy optimisation and Building Information Modelling supply chain readiness, and is currently a Chief Editor for the forthcoming CIOB Code of Practice for Programme Management, the world’s first programme specific code of practice for the built environment.
