Bio
Mikel Rincón graduated in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2017. He continued his Master's studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in Energy and Fuels for the Future in 2018. In 2022, he obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Technologies at the BCMaterials - Basque Center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures. The main objective of his doctoral thesis was to process and characterize sustainable multifunctional materials based on polymers of natural origin (mainly cellulose and its derivatives) applicable in developing printed sensors and actuators with magnetic and electrical activity. At this stage, he developed solvent-based materials processed, principally, by Doctor Blade and solvent-casting. In addition, the developed materials printability was tested by printing techniques such as screen printing (2D) or direct ink writing (DIW) (3D). Likewise, he acquired skills in materials characterization techniques such as: FTIR, XRD, DSC, TGA, mechanical tests, UV-vis, VSM, dielectric characterization and I-V curves.
