Bio
High-grade melanoma is characterized by chromosomal instability, invasive signature, DNA damage, Oxidative stress and a strong metabolism demand which contributes to transcriptional/epigenetic heterogeneity as well as post-translational modifications such as Ubiquitination which take part in protein homeostasis, necessary for survival and identity of cancer cells. I will concentrate on revealing molecular players involved in mechanisms that maintain protein homeostasis to cellular heterogeneity,
epigenetic regulation and metabolic demand renewal that underly melanoma plasticity, promoting metastasis and persisting resistance to treatment.
