Bio
My lab is focused on understanding the role of the immune system in the initiation and progression of neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease, ME/CFS, and stroke. Our approach involves the discovery and characterization of functionally relevant immune cell biomarkers, followed by the development of imaging agents for these biomarkers, and translation of promising imaging probes to the clinic to enable precision targeting of immunomodulatory therapeutics and real-time monitoring of treatment response.
Specialties: Molecular neuroimaging, development and evaluation of novel PET radioligands, neuroinflammation, biomarker discovery/validation, managing and executing multidisciplinary research projects, teaching, and mentoring.
