个人简介
My background, expertise, and experiences uniquely prepare me to serve as an instructional and human-centered interface and experience designer (UI/UX) in research settings. I have served in this role on internet program and mobile application development projects at the University of Virginia. Additionally, I have practiced instructional design and curriculum consultation in research settings for more than a decade. I have designed effective interactive learning experiences for users of all ages in healthcare, PK -12, higher education, out-of-school time, and museum settings. Since 2002, I have provided expertise on a wide range of projects and user populations, among them, eHealth interventions for adults with spinal cord injury, interactive education for children and adults with brain tumors, behavioral education for adolescents with encopresis, STEM education for low-income adolescents, and psychosocial support for children with cancer and their parents. My work on behavioral interventions includes programs for adults and children with type I diabetes, women at risk of Alcohol Exposed Pregnancy (AEP), and adults with insomnia. My experience includes prototyping and usability testing for mobile applications to promote medication adherence and engagement in care for people living with HIV, medication and use-tracking for people with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), and self-monitoring and social support for people taking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
