Bio
Michal Balog was born in Zlatnik, SLOVAKIA, in 1954. He is a graduate of the Technical University of Kosice (1979) in the field of Technical Cybernetics. He received Ph.D. degree in the field of construction machinery and equipment (1988) on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU Bratislava and habilitated for Associate Professor in the field of processing of earth resources at the Faculty BERG, Technical University (2010). During his work at the Technical University in Kosice he is actively involved in solving of researches and development projects. In cooperation with VUD Zilina they were mainly projects aimed at computerization of transport eg. “Intelligent parking for trucks”, “CONNECT - Electronic toll collection” and the project ended in 2015 “Centre for Research in Transport - CVD Plus” aimed at computerization of rail transport using RFID technology.
