My current research focuses on water quality (fate and transport of anthropogenic contaminants) and paleoclimate research in lake systems. My current projects are in Lake Mead, NV (endocrine disrupting compounds in aquatic ecosystems), Mono Lake (using microbes to assess the formation of sinter deposits), Big Soda Lake, Nevada (Holocene paleoclimate reconstructions) and Uzbekistan (determination of legacy pesticides in agricultural lakes using sediment cores and SPMDs).
