Bio
Michael L. Korwin-Pawlowski received the M.Sc. degree in electronics in 1963 from the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1974 from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, and the MBA in finance in 1993 from Long Island University, Brookville, NY.
He joined the Université du Québec en Outaouais in 2004 as Professor in the Département d'informatique et d'ingénierie after over 30 years in high management levels in R&D, engineering, marketing, and operations management in the international semiconductor and microelectronic industry, including 16 years (1982–1999) at General Instrument Corporation and General Semiconductor Corporation in Taiwan, the U.S., and Ireland, and at X-ion S.A., France (1999–2002). He is author or co-author of 65 publications, two book translations, and 18 U.S., French, and international patents. His current research interests are in thin-film technology for fiber-optic sensor applications, laser process technology, multicharged ion technology, nanotechnology, photonic sensors, and microelectronic device modeling.
