Michael Keller

Michael Keller studies the ecology and biogeochemistry of tropical forests and the effects of changing land use. His studies employ a variety of tools including remote sensing, forest inventory, biogeochemical experimental manipulations, and ecosystem modeling. Over the past 30 years he has lived and conducted research in Panama, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Brazil and the United States. He is currently Research Physical Scientist with the US Forest Service International Institute of Tropical Forestry, Distinguished Visiting Scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, and Visiting Scientist at EMBRAPA Agricultural Informatics.
