Bio
Michael J. Ford received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Southampton University, Southampton, U.K., in 1985 and 1989, respectively.
He then became a Research Fellow with the University of Maryland and Southampton University. In 1996, he joined Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia, as a Lecturer and then a Senior Lecturer in the disciplines of physics and nanotechnology. Since 2002, he has been an Associate Director of the Institute for Nanoscale Technology, University of Technology, Sydney, N.S.W., Australia. His research interests include the ab inito calculation and modeling of molecular electronic and surface phenomena.
