Professor Michael Horowitz AO is a pioneer in his major research area, which relates to the function of the gastrointestinal tract and its effects on blood glucose control in diabetes and is arguably the leading international authority.

My major research interests are in the two unrelated areas of gastrointestinal motor function and metabolic bone disease. In both instances this research is being performed on a collaborative basis and has attracted international recognition.
