Michael Glikson

Michael Glikson was born in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1956. He received the M.D. degree from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, in 1982. He was trained in cardiology at The Sheba Medical Center, Israel and in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. His main fields of research are pacemaker and defibrillator performance, clinical outcomes, and clinical use of algorithms. He is currently the Director of Pacing and Electrophysiology at the Heart Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Israel, and a Senior Lecturer in Cardiology in the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel. He also serves as the Secretary of the Israel Heart Society. Dr. Glikson is a member of the Israel Heart Society, a Fellow of the American College and the European Society of Cardiology, and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society where he serves as a member at large of the International Coalition of Pacing and Electrophysiology.
