个人简介
Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, I have always been interested in how human actions and decisions impact the status of our water resources. As a mathematically-minded person, as well, water resources research speaks to my interests in addressing societally-relevant issues that incorporate measurements, models, and the inevitable uncertainty of the coupled human-and-natural world.
My research group focuses on work that addresses the need for a sustainable, resilient hydrosphere. To address this grand challenge, my research team: employs novel field sensing and experimental design techniques; incorporates observations through physical and statistical models of hydrologic processes; and applies our scientific results to societally-relevant water resource questions.
