Academic experience has focused on collaborative interactions with academic departments to research new engineering materials and processes. Support of department mentoring and instruction goals / vision.
Industry experience has focused on development of materials and manufacturing processes to realize next generation nanocomposites, fiber reinforced polymer matrix composites, protective coatings, and microwave devices. Significant experience with process engineering, program/contract acquisition, management, new concept and IP development, and technical marketing. Always interested in cutting edge research and novel designs, including development & demonstration of new materials and fabrication processes.

Specialty: Polymer nanocomposites; nanostructured materials and surfaces; polymer morphology and structure-property relationships; surface and interface phenomena in polymers
Applications: Additive manufacturing, composite processing, smart materials, advanced materials, structural composites, multifunctional coatings
Expertise: Nanomaterial dispersion and characterization, manufacturing process development, novel nanocomposite characterization techniques, transport at polymer / particle interfaces and in multi-phase systems
