Mehul R. Pandya

Mehul R. Pandya received the M. Sc. degree in physics from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India, in 1996. He has been a Scientist with the Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad, since 1997. He is involved in the sensor system studies for various sensors onboard Indian Remote Sensing satellites (IRS-1D, P5, and P6) for vegetation monitoring. His research interests include understanding the role of various factors such as sensor characteristics, viewing geometry, and atmosphere on land surface parameter retrieval through radiative transfer models, field experiments, and satellite data. Mr. Pandya is an Associate Fellow of the Gujarat Science Academy and a member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing.
