Bio
Md. Minarul Islam (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia.
He also attended exchange master's program with the University of Flensburg, Germany. From 2008 to 2009, he was with Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Co. Ltd. From June 2009 to 2016, he was with Stamford University Bangladesh, Dhaka, and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, - currently on study leave. His research interests include distributed generations, power quality, power system planning and control, inrush, and fault current limiter.
