Bio
Hi, I am Md. Ariful Islam, a PhD student in the Department of Biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, LA, USA. I am focusing on the morphology and molecular phylogeny of seaweed. I am also interested in phenotypic plasticity, next-generation sequencing, and the evolutionary relationships of macroalgae. We conduct culture experiments, measure the stress tolerance of macroalgae.
Mr. Islam earned his MSc from Hiroshima University, Japan in 2019 in the relevant field.
In 2014, he received his undergraduate degree as a BSc in Fisheries (Hons.) from the Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. In addition, Mr. worked as a research assistant at the Kangwon National University, South Korea in 2017.
Mr. Islam has published some articles in peer-reviewed journals and is actively working. Any collaborative work in the relevant field would be welcomed.
