Mauricio Kugler received the degree in electrical engineering in 2000, and the MSc degree in biomedical engineering in 2003, both from the Federal Technological University of Parana, Brazil. In 2007, he received a PhD degree in computer science and engineering from the Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at this same institute.
