Matthias J. P. Van Osch received the M.Sc. degree in applied physics from the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from the Image Sciences Institute, University Medical Center, Utrecht, The Netherlands, in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Image Sciences Institute, University Medical Center, Utrecht. In 2004, he moved to the Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, The Netherlands, at which he became a Full Professor on Experimental Cerebrovascular Imaging in 2019. His research interests include the development of new MRI sequences with a special focus on hemodynamic measurements and clinical brain applications of ultra-high field MRI. He is currently an Active Member of the ESMRMB and ISMRM.
